A weekend for choir and orchestra
Whether you are a singer or instrumentalist – people of all ages and musical abilities are welcome! Together with the choir and orchestra, we will work on a varied programme of classical, pop, jazz and world music. Rehearsals in small groups and with the entire ensemble will culminate in an exciting public concert!

Rehearsal times:
Saturday & Sunday, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and 3:00–6:00 p.m.
Final concert: Sunday, 19 April, 7:30 p.m. – free admission!

CONCEPT: A weekend full of music, rhythm, encounters and inspiration!
The focus is on the joy of making music together. In an open and appreciative atmosphere, singers and instrumentalists come together not only to play music, but to experience it together.
The joint stage experience is the highlight of the weekend: it brings to life what can be achieved in a short time through the interaction of choir and orchestra. At the same time, the workshop offers space for encounters, creative exchange, personal and musical growth – regardless of individual background.
Included in the price:
• Sheet music at the appropriate level of difficulty and song lyrics as well as practice recordings<br>• Diverse repertoire ranging from classical, pop, jazz and world music
• Professional musical direction, playing technique and voice training
• Rehearsals in sub-groups (instrumental and vocal) as well as in the full ensemble
• Two coffee and tea breaks with drinks and snacks during rehearsal time
• Final concert with public performance of the programme – free admission!
One month before the start, all participants will receive sheet music and lyrics as well as practice recordings for independent preparation.

OPEN SINGING
People of all ages who would like to share their joy of singing with others: Whether you have many years of choir experience or a less tuned singing voice – everyone is welcome!
We sing together polyphonic songs from all over the world, canons, pop songs, as well as pieces from the classical choral repertoire. All kinds of inspiring music, from very swinging and rhythmic to very heartfelt and touching. And it will also sound beautifully!
Each singing session is as unique as the group meeting on that particular evening.
No pre-registration necessary!
Costs: EU 15 per evening (sheet music and song texts are included)

ELEMENTARES MUSIZIEREN FÜR ERWACHSENE
Du hast bereits Instrumentalunterricht genommen, in einer Band gespielt oder in einem Chor gesungen? Dabei stand für Dich die Freude an der Musik und das Teilen dieser Freude mit Gleichgesinnten im Vordergrund?
Dann ist dieser Kurs genau das Richtige für Dich: Im Rahmen des elementaren Musizierens wollen wir Musik mit allen gegenwärtigen in der Gruppe verfügbaren Mitteln (Instrumente, Stimmen, Body-Percussion) miteinander erfahren und gestalten. Ausgangspunkte können Lieder, Rhythmen, Improvisation sowie eine schlichte Akkordfolge sein. Daraus ergibt sich einen einzigartigen kreativen Prozess, aus dem das gemeinsame Musizieren entsteht.
Am Ende des Kurses verfügen wir über ein Repertoire aus Liedern, Kompositionen, Arrangements und Erfahrungen im Umgang mit verschiedensten Instrumenten (Klavier, Gitarre, E-Bass, Schlagzeug, Percussion, Stimme).
Tomás Guadix, Wer bin ich? Musik- und Theaterpädagoge. Ursprünglich aus Argentinien habe ich mehrere Jahre in Brasilien gelebt und studiert. Ich bin seit vielen Jahren in den Wiener Musikschulen und an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien im Fachbereich Elementare Musikpädagogik tätig.
WANN: Montags bzw Donnerstags ab 18.30 Uhr, 2-Stunden-Einheiten. Der genauer Zeitrahmen wird am Anfang des Kurses mit jeder Gruppe vereinbart und fixiert.
